I do like the holidays, mostly because I get to make and spend time to be with good friends and family, but I am always kinda sad to see the sun go down so early.

I am hunkerin' down for a bit to do some writing and play around on my electric some and learn some new songs, work on some art and get the garden ready for next spring-all great stuff to do in the winter months.

I am having a great time watching Justified on FX-because Dave Alvin and his band are on the third episode, and will be on future epiosdes. It's a kick in the butt to see him on there! Brother Chris will be working withDave alot this summer and will be missed up here in Portland.

Ths week I participated in a storytelling event similar to Portland's "Backfence" and NPR's "Moth". It was in Vancouver at The Atrium and was a real blast! Totally scary though to get up in front of people without a guitar!! The event is called Anectdotal Evidence and my pal Beth Harrington introduced me to it-she is a great story teller!!
